Goat Cheese and Kale Egg Bake How-To
This tangy egg bake is one-dish easy. Use this handy guide to walk you through the recipe.
Step 1: Prepare Bread and Eggs
Bake one container of refrigerated Crusty French Loaf; cool. Slice baked loaf into 1/2-inch slices; cut slices into four pieces. Whisk 8 eggs, 2 cups heavy cream, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a large bowl; add bread, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese and 4 ounces goat cheese; stir to combine.
Step 2: Prepare Kale
Finely slice 2 cups of loosely packed kale. Mix with 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 clove minced garlic; sauté in skillet over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes or until kale starts to crisp. Add kale to egg mixture; stir to combine. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Step 3: Pour into Pan
Remove kale and egg mixture from refrigerator and pour into a 9x5-inch baking pan lined with parchment paper and sprayed with nonstick cooking oil.
Step 4: Bake and Slice
Bake at 350°F. for 40 to 45 minutes or until baked through. Cool in baking pan on wire rack 5 minutes. Remove loaf from pan by running a knife around the edges to loosen; turn loaf out of pan. Cut into slices.
