My niece and nephews adore anything that tastes like cake batter and are always fighting to lick the bowl. I took monkey bread rolled in cake batter crumbs and topped it with a cake batter glaze, with lots of sprinkles, of course!
Using Pillsbury® Grands!® Homemade Biscuits, you can quickly bake a decadent batch of monkey bread for your morning celebration.
Divide each biscuit into four with a knife or kitchen shears and roll them into balls.
Mix together the brown sugar, cake mix, cinnamon and sprinkles in a bowl.
Dip the balls in melted butter and then in the brown sugar mixture. Make sure each ball is covered. This is where the kids love to help!
Place the balls of dough in your pan until they reach the top. I used 4-ounce individual soufflé dishes, but you could use a 9-inch cake round.
While they are baking, mix together the glaze ingredients in a bowl.
Pour the glaze over warm monkey bread. Generously sprinkle the tops and serve warm.
