Check out this cookbook, it was published in 1986 Light & Healthly Microwave cooking by Janet Emal & Elizabeth Taylor

I could not get on your blog http://communityadmin.pillsbury.com/externallinkpolicy.aspx?extnurl=http%3a%2f%2flightenupforgoodhealth.blogspot.com above and would very much like to view it.  Can't figure out what I am doing wrong.  It won't bring me to it.  Tells me I have to sign in /join.  Tried both.  Appreciate assistance.  Ezdance

Re: Looking for lowfat, low calorie recipes

Hy DebbyinOhio,

I started this as an appitizer for a party but everyone liked it so well we make it a meal on nights we need a quick supper.

You do need i tube of crescent rolls, but that is the most fat in the whole thing.

take your tube of rolls and spread them in a circle so it looks like a wreath. short side will face into the center of the clrcle.

use leftover chicken breast ( we grill extra for this purpose sometimes), or shaved turkey is another good option.  any kind of veggie that you like, but use fresh not frozen, brocolli, carrots,

mushrooms are favs here.

chop chicken and veggies into small pieces.  place on top of ring.  top with grated low-fat cheese of your choice.  Have used fat-free cheese but not good results.

I follow the baking directions on the tube but you may have to adjust time and temp. just depends on how hungry everyone is.

cut into sections and use your favorite dip on the side.  i even did this with leftover grilled salmon one time and it was excellent.

i serve fresh veggies or salad on side and try to have a fresh fruit cup for dessert.

hope you like

Re: Looking for lowfat, low calorie recipes

I have a great Strawberry Salsa recipe that would be great at your next family gathering or picnic.  This deliciously different salsa is versatile, fresh tasting and colorful.  People are surprised to see a salsa made with tomatoes and strawberries, but it is excellent served over chicken and pork.
