I did this as an experiment when our family had appetizer nite for dinner. Since I had the deep fryer out to make some mozzerella sticks, I though I would throw in a piggy in the blanket to see what would happen vs. putting them in the oven. Surprise! The cresent dough puffed up and was nice and crisp. The family loved them. Now that is the only way they will eat them. I know it isn't as healthy as baking them, but boy are they delicious this way. Just thought I would share an experiement gone right![:)]
Thanks coffee mom. Did not realize you could deep fry cresent dough. though terribly fattening, for an occassional treat, sounds delish.
When you fried them, was the dough around the dog done ? Thats what i was afraid off thanks
