Hi everyone,

I'm sure we are all on pins and needles hoping to find out if we have made it to the finals.  This is the second year I have submitted but am unsure when (and if) I would be notified.  Are you contacted prior to the final 20 dishes posted for voting or after? Please shed some light on this subject.  Does anyone enter other foodie contest?

Just read the rules again looking for the answer to the same question.  The recipes in the voting are notified until about August and then the judges select the remaining 90 recipes.  The rules say around Sept 1.  :)

Hi mommywhammy, EmFromNM is correct!  Here is the section of the Rules you were looking for - "Judges will select the remaining 90 recipes and the entrants whose recipes are selected by the Judges will become finalists.  General Mills will begin notifying finalists on or about September 1, 2011. General Mills may also select alternates.  Alternates will not be notified of their selection as alternates."

This is my first year entering, I was wondering if the contestants with recipes that are up for voting online were notified? I ask because I was without computer access for awhile (it was being repaired) so I missed the beginning of that part of the contest. 

See the earlier answers - it isn't time yet.  It is hard to be patient, isn't it!

I'm wondering if you become a finalist, will you be notified by telephone,

or by e-mail?  It is had to be patient, but I'm trying.

I believe the first notification is by telephone.  Unless things have changed considerably (and I doubt that ) you would be told that you are a 'prospective' finalist or something similar.  And whoever calls will ask you several questions regarding yourself and the recipe.   This is (in my opinion) mainly to make sure that you have read/followed the rules correctly in regard to many things.    You would then be told that they'll email you forms to complete (and there are a lot of them!) and that you are NOT a finalist until all this is completed and then they will notify you.

It sounds like a lot but they want to be assured that everything is as it is supposed to be.  Good luck.

Hi, Shanna!  I'm wondering if you might be able to update all of us who are wondering if Pillsbury is still notifying potential finalists, with the exception of the "You Be The Judge" candidates,  for the bake-off.  It would be nice to know if we hopefuls still have a chance!  Thank you!  

I sorry if I'm not that computer literate.  Today is sept. 15, 2011 and I do not know if they havs select the final 90 contestents.  I am one of the thousands waiting.  Maybe they have will they post on Pillsbury

Sorry, but you only hear from them if you are a finalist.  They will not let you know  the status of the entires until they post the finalists on the site in October.  So in this case, no news is NOT good news! 

I've entered many, many times in the past.  I was a finalist in the 2008 contest and that's the only time I got a phone call from Pillsbury.  Odds are, if you haven't heard by now you probably didn't make it unless you were chosen as an alternate and somebody drops out or is disqualified at some point.

The rules state that the 100 finalists will be announced mid-October 2011.  Wonder if they are contacted prior to the public announcement?

I couldn't find that in the rules??  I'm wondering the same thing!

I also read mid October in the rules.  I am absolutely on pins and needles right now!
