Re: brownies into cookies

Hi.  I was given a recipe from a friend where you use a box of cake mix and add cream cheese and unsalted butter to the mix to make cookies.  You melt the 8 oz. cream cheese and a stick of butter and add to the mix.  Mix well and roll dough into small balls.  Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 17-20 minutes.  You can add nuts or whatever you want if you so desire.

I've used the above recipe with several types of cake mixes but haven't tried the brownie mix yet.  Sounds yummy!  Let me know how it turns out if you decide to use the recipe!

Re: brownies into cookies

I have been looking for a recipe to make cookies from cake mix and I came across your recipe.  Please tell me if this works for any flavor cake mix ( i.e. Yellow, Devils food, spice)?

Re: brownies into cookies

I have used a boxed Brownie mix (making it as directed)

Using a tassey pan that is lightly greased, fill 3/4 full. Baking at 325 degree for about 15-17 minutes or unitl toothpick comes out clean when inserted.

Then Press a small Reese Peanut Butter Cup in the center of each one after they come out of the oven BUT before taking them out of the tassey pan.

Cool...then dust with Powdered Sugar Stick out tongue
