Need help remembering a recipe using the crescent rolls......a quick dessert!! HELP!!

Simple question for a simple recipe!

Does anyone remember the quick dessert/snack made using Crescent rolls?

My mother used to make these, using chocolate chips, brown sugar, butter........

She would make a "sheet" using the crescent rolls and then add the ingredients one at a time.

I would love to have this recipe, as she kept it in her head! lol  I can only remember the basics, and would like to have the complete ingredients, etc.

Would someone please help??  Thanks in advance!

GloriD -- Oh I would 'guess' there must be well over a thousand recipes that fill that bill.   And so many are SO good!

Here is one from the 26th PILLSBURY BAKE OFF in 1975 (or thereabouts) that many of my friends have enjoyed and still make to this day.  Maybe its similar to the one you remember?

CHOCOLATE TOFFEE CRESCENT BARS

8 OZ can Pillsbury Refrigerated Quick Crescent dinner Rolls

2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar

2/3 cup butter or margarine

1 to 1-1/2 cups nut halves or chopped nuts

6-oz pkg (1 cup) milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.  Separate crescent dough into two large rectangles.  Place in ungreased 15 x 10 inch jelly rollpan.  Gently press dough to cover bottom of pan;seal perforations.

In small saucepan, combine brown sugar and butter; boil 1 minute.

Pour evenly over dough.  Sprinkle with nuts.

Bake 14 to 18 minutes until golden brown.  Remove from oven.

Immediately sprinkle with chocolate pieces.  Slightly swirl pieces as they melt, leaving some pieces partially melted or whole.  (Do not spread evenly; leaves a mottled appearance.)  Cool; cut into bars.

3 to 4 dozen bars

Since this was LONG before Pillsbury made their new crescent sheets -- I would 'guess/think' they could be used in this recipe.

Hope this is similar to what you are looking for.
