Dry Frosting Mix

I remember these frosting mixes from when I was a girl, and they were my favorite.  I'm not so fond of frosting in a can.  Has anyone seen the frosting mixes on shelves anywhere?  I searched the site and only found references to frosting mixes that used to be in recipes.  I miss them and wonder why they disapeared!

Re: Dry Frosting Mix

Hi chaotican! Hmm...

Currently, I know Betty Crocker has a boxed frosting.

Here is the product locator:

http://consumercontacts.generalmills.com/CrunchProdAvailability/ProductAvailability.aspx?m=10

If you type in "Boxed Frosting"- and your address you can see which store closest to you carries it.

If you can't find it there, I know products can be found on amazon.com.

Or, if you have a chance, talk to your supermarket manager about the above. If you know the products you want, ask them to carry it in the store. Many members have had luck with this.

Good luck! Let us know if you have any luck!

Sincerely, Cate

Jiffy still makes these but so far I can't find a local store that carries them. You can order them on line. I wish Pillbury still made the fudge frosting mix. I have a recipe my mom used in the 70's for a fudgey brownie. I used to sub with the Jiffy & now stores don't carry that either. Canned frosting tastes like plastic!!
