Sending cookies to Iraq

I'm sorry if this has already been answered, feel free to point me in the right direction!  But it takes about 2 weeks for a package to get to Iraq.  Which cookies will stay the most fresh?  I didn't think that the earlier about keeping cookies fresh really answered this question...

I don't have a vaccum sealer, but I have other instructions for packing them.  I'm more concerned about freshness.

Thanks!

Re: Sending cookies to Iraq

Hi mmyer8212:

I think that's great you're sending cookies to the troops! Are you sending it to a family member or a good friend? Or are you sending them through a program for the troops? I ask so many questions, because I used to be the admin over at navyformoms.com. Some moms said sending cookies in Pringles cans were helpful.

So either way- I have some helpful info that may be of use for you. This is from our sister site, Betty Crocker:

If you have a chance, we would love to know what type of cookies you sent and how they turned out.

Sincerely, Cate
