My group is working on a fictional project for our marketing project. We have come up with the idea of Pillsbury creating a new line of ready-to-bake cookies with Splenda, instead of sugar. I would like to know if anyone would be interested in buying such a product if it were available.
Yes, i would be interested in cookies made with Splenda assuming they would be reduced calories, fats and carbohydrates.
I have made cookies using splenda, just use 1/2 the amount of splenda in place of the sugar asked for in the recipe. It has worked out fine for me. Julie
I would love Splenda cookies! Splenda is much easier on the digestive system than the other
sugar replacement. I will not pay twice the price just to have splenda cookies.
thank you all for your answers, it's really helped us feel better about our project!
Cookies using Splenda would be super for kids with diabetes!! What a help for the busy mom's!! The cost would have to be reasonable, the taste very good and kid friendly. Adult diabetics would also enjoy these. I am sure people without health issues would also find a product like this very helpfu. Fats, protein etc would need to be right on par.
Great idea!!!

What is Splenda? Is it an alternative sweetener?
[quote user="Charles2010"]
SPLENDA IS A SWEETENER. I USE IT ALL THE TIME. IT COMES IN A PACKET OR LOOSE.
Yes, I would buy that product .
I make it a policy not to cook with artificial sweeteners of any kind, so no, I would not buy those products.
Is the survey still ongoing? I've used Splenda (loose form) for making apple pies. My sis is always looking to reduce sugar intact for her diet. I used it cup for cup. Was SOOOO sweet. I'd use less next time.
[I]Is this survey current? I use splendor to make goodies for my sister when I'm in Arizona. My apple pie was Soooo sweet! I used cup to cup measurements. Next time I'd probably reduce the amount. I used the loose assuming it was to be equal to sugar measurements. Was not so...
I'm sorry, but that is a horrible idea!! Splenda is not good for you!! It is just as bad as nuetrasweet!! I don't buy anything that has Splenda in it. It would be wise of your group to come up with a ready to bake cookie that uses reduced sugar. Using applesauce as an alternative is one example. Goodluck!!
