I haven't met a crescent I didn't like. Smile I love them right out of the oven with some jelly or butter. And I love them when they are in recipes. (I like the Italian Crescent Braid and Cheesy Chicken and Artichoke Bites recipes!).

The other day I had left-over jalapeno peppers, so I decided to go out on a limb and try my own version of jalapeno poppers.  I mixed cheddar cheese, brie cheese, and mozzarella cheese with chopped up jalapenos, and wrapped them up in bite-size crescent roll pockets.

My friends loved them, but I still think that the baked brie recipe is the best.  Oh yes, and I almost forgot, like the brie recipe, I brushed the poppers with a beaten egg to brown them up nicely.  I need to try others! Stick out tongue

I use Crescent Rolls in a hot dish I make called Bea's Hotdish. My family loves it. Here is the recipe:

2 pounds of lean hamburger     1 cup diced onion    1 15oz. can of tomato sauce

2 teaspoons sweet basil     2 teaspoons oregano 2 teaspoons garlic powder

Simmer 30 minutes and put in 9 by 13 inch cake pan. Spread 2 cups of mozzarella and 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese over hamburger mixture. Top with 2 packages of crescent rolls that have been rolled up.

Bake on 350 degrees uncovered for 30 minutes. Enjoy.

My favorite way to serve crescents, is my daughters favorite. I was experimenting one day and came up with a winner. I follow the package directions, unrolling and seperating the dough. Before I roll them into the crescent shape, I spread each segment with a mixture of minced garlic, butter, and cheese. ( I use different cheeses, depending on what the main course for each meal).  Roll the dough as usual and bake as directed.

Every time I come for a visit, I make these for my girls. They are a big hit.

I roll out the crescent rolls flat & put chunks of pepper jack (or other cheese) inside, then roll up & bake according to pckg.  They come out nice & cheesey & go well with homemade chili.

I would like the brie recipe that has been mentioned a couple of times.  Everything is good with brie in it.  Thanks

I don't know if you have gotten your answer yet, but my new favorite is to take the crescent creations, unroll them and cut into 12 squares.  Then I push one square into each one of mini muffin tins.  I add a dab of brie (no rind) or even better the herbed brie.  Bake at 375 degrees until begin to brown.  about 7 - 10 minutes.

I have also cut the rind off of a small wheel of brie, covered with an unrolled crescent creations roll and wrapped in tin foil.  Bake at 375 until gooey

I take jalapeno cheddar small links and wrap them in my crescent rolls and put the in my electric pastry cooker and make pigs in a blanket and I can never make enough.  They are absolutely delicious wrapped in the crescent.
