 Is there any possible way you would consider sharing your recipe? My parents always made these (with a lattice-work top!) and they were delicious! Dad died 23 years ago and Mom, 10 years ago. They stopped making them at least 10 years before Dad died. It's been a long, long time...! I haven't found the recipe yet that duplicates theirs! They never wrote it down...they owned a bakery in Chicago for years and Mom grew up in another bakery! I guess they knew a lot of recipes by heart!

I voted for apple but strawberry rhubarb is my favorite too. Try adding a little grated orange zest and orange juice to the filling next time you make s/r pie, it really adds something special to the flavor. I also add a little orange zest to the flour if I make my own crust, but of course the Pillsburry crusts work very well, too. lol

strawberry rhubarb is my favorite along with just rhubarb pie.  Have you ever tried that?

OH,YEH!!  Bring it on!  'Specially lucious with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of a piece of warmed-up Apple Pie.!!

Apple with crescent roll topped before baking..When ready serve hardy with 2-scoops Breyers vanilla ice cream
