Mmm... My favorite is definately Chocolate Pecan Pie!

Hi. I like chocolate myself. I got four recipes you would possibly would enjoy---1)Chocolate Raspberry Pie, Chocolate Truffle Pie, Chocolate Peppermint Pie, and Chocolate Banana Cream Pie. You choose and let me know which one.

Amber, I agree with you.  If I had to pick a REAL favorite its Chess.  My Mom made a wonderful one

with vinegar, is that like yours?   My second vote Pecan and third Ruhbarb.   Marty

This is my thought exactly. You couldn't have said this better. Chess pie, or what I knew as Buttermilk pie up until my freshman year in college is the best thing going! I voted for pecan pie because it is closet to my favorite as well...that flakiest crust comment makes me want to make a pie this week

I know what you mean. When I was younger, I couldn't stand the pecans, but loved the filling. I always knew there was a pie like that but didn't know the name. Thanks!

I am interested in the recipe for Chess pie.   Sounds great!

That Chess Pie sounds wonderful. They are always better form Mom. I just thought I would see if you care to share that recipe.

 Hello...

My Mother used to make Chess Tarts.  The crust was light and flaky and she said it was french pastry that she used for the tart shells.

She is now in Heaven and I can't remember all of the ingredients she used other than, walnuts, butter, raisins, a touch of vinegar and heavy cream.  All of these solid ingredients were put in grinder then the eggs and cream mixture  before going into the tart shells.

After baking she topped them with whipped cream!

Would you share your ingredients with me?  I'd like to share with the children in our family.

This is the first time I have ever had someone else mention Chess Pie. My greatgrandmother started it, when My mother passed away I had to take over, I always tell people, If its made right you can just pick it up and eat it , no fork needed. They always look at me funny when I tell them it's got cornmeal and vinager in it, can't taste it at all.

Does anyone have the recipe that's described above?  My friend used to make this for me years ago and I've lost contact with her.

I also love chess pie another favorite is Nesselrode pie.

I would help you eat it too :). I love it. My ex mother-in-love taught me to make it & she also taught me to make s/r cake which is also very delicious
