Heritage Meals

On the main page Pillsbury is talking about celebrating Black History Month. It says, “Put some soul in your meals with updated comfort food recipes.” And then it breaks it up by breakfasts, snacks, dinners, and desserts.

The recipe they are featuring right now is Breakfast Biscuit Sandwiches

Yum! I was wondering how you are celebrating AFA month with your family in the kitchen.

Or if there was family recipe that has been passed down to you that you still make? If so, what is it, and (if not Pillsbury) how do you make it?

Looking forward to reading your responses!

Sincerely, CateC

Re: Heritage Meals

Last night the hubby and I tried the African Black Bean and Sweet Potato Burritos

This was my review:

There are some things that you can throw the entire kitchen sink it and it tastes great. Unfortunately, this wasn’t one. I couldn’t seem to marry the flavors. It’s a sweet burrito with salsa and sour cream. I honestly think this dish would have been better without the peanut butter. If you love sweet potatoes I think this could be improved. What about a twice baked sweet potato with beans, salsa sour cream and green onion? Hmmm. I hope you have better luck with it!

So, Creative Chefs-  have your tried this yet? Or if not- what would you do differently? Looking forward to hear your input!

Sincerely, Cate
