Looking for recipe

Hello all! I'm new to this forum, posting from Indiana. I hope someone can help me find a recipe......

I made a lemon cookie recipe from the side of a cake mix box a few weeks ago. The cookies were a hit with my family and friends and I'd like to make them again but now I can't find the recipe. Can anyone help me?

The cookies started with a lemon cake mix, then I added oil and eggs. I believe there's also a frosting or a glaze recipe that goes with the cookies. (we thought the cookies were so good on their own that we didn't use that part of the recipe)

Thank you for any help!

Karla

Re: Looking for recipe

Welcome!! I new to this site too.  I have a recipe for cake mix cookies.  I don't know if it is the same one.  But the one I have says you can use any flavor cake mix and add anything to it( choc chips, nuts, raisins etc...).  You could make it plain, with lemon cake mix.

I box cake mix

2 eggs

1/2 cup oil

Mix ingredients until blended.  Drop onto cookie sheets.  Bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes. ( maybe less depending on your oven.)

Hope it helps!

Re: Looking for recipe

I was looking for the recipe also, and found your post. I finally found the recipe from www.eat.at from another blog posting from "brook": Here it is!!!

I think this is the recipe that all of you are looking for. It is a personal favorite of mine as well, but I 'll be darned if I threw the box side away that I was saving that had the recipe on it. It came off the side of a Pillsbury lemon cake mix. Anyhow, this is it. I've tried substituting other brands, while using the same recipe, but it just isn't the same.  It is wonderful.

Hope this helps.

Ingredients:
1 pkg. Lemon cake mix (Pillsbury tastes best)
1 Stick of butter, melted
1 Egg

1 can lemon frosting
2 Eggs
8 oz Cream cheese, softened

Instructions:
1. Mix first 3 ingredients together to a crumbly texture. Set aside ¾ cup. Pat remaining mix into the bottom of a 13 x 9 pan. 2. Mix together the frosting, eggs, and cream cheese. Spread evenly over cake mix. Sprinkle top with reserved ¾ cup cake mix and bake at 350°F for 40 minutes. Keep refrigerated

Re: Looking for recipe

I made these last week for a church event and everyone loved them.  I had this box of lemon cake mix in my pantry for along time.  I'm not a big lemon fan but this are yummy.  I never dreamed pillsbury lemon cake mix would be hard to find again.  Thank you for sharing the recipe.  I am going to try it with Betty Crocker cake mix because after looking at 4 stores this is my only choice.  I hope they are just as yummy because my pastor loved them.  I am taking them to his house for Super Bowl.
