substituting dried cranberries for fresh

I want to make the apple cranberry crisp pie but don't have fresh cranberries.....don't suggest a store...nearest one is 15 miles away!!   Anyone ever subsituted dried cranberries in this recipe?

I'm sure you are one to know more of stores in your area as opposed to a random internet user, so I will spare you a store suggestion.  What I do suggest is, if your store is 15 miles away, that you invest in a segway.

My suggestion, rehydrate them like you would prunes, drain them and use.
