Coupon Mania!

[:)] Ahh. Just another reason to love this month! This September offers the highest coupon value we’ve ever had on Pillsbury.com

When I was little, one of my jobs was to keep my mom’s coupon organizer updated. We used to go through the Sunday paper ads and cut them out. Now, you can also find coupons in your monthly magazine and online.

Do you actually use coupons? How often do you cut or print out coupons use them in your weekly grocery shopping? Do you plan your meals around the coupons? Also, if you have any coupon tips or tricks that have been successful- please share!

Re: Coupon Mania!

Hi CateC.  Thought I would respond since no one had.  Yes, I clip coupons as you may have read on this site as well as the other one.  I have enjoyed the great savings on the Pillsbury products.  Thanks you Pillsbury.  I clip and print from online weekly.  But do not plan meals around coupons.  Maybe I should.  Just clip and print what I will  use.

I wish there was more activity and response from members here.  This is such a great site and Pillsbury has great product, recipes, and contests.  You and Katie do a great job.  Many thanks to the both of you also.  The weather is starting to change, so hope to see an increase in cooking and activity on the websites.  ldbayou

Thank you Idbayou for your response. We are working trying to make it a better user experience for everyone- and it just takes time. Until then, we are grateful you come and take the time to post.

I love coupons when I see them for products I usually buy- but I don't often search them out. Being on a tighter budget though, this is soon to change. Sincerely, Cate

Re: Coupon Mania!

I joined Pillsbury.com today.  It appears to be a great site.  While I probably will not arrange dinners specifically around the coupons, I certainly will look at them.  Until later, Tonya

Re: Coupon Mania!

I do sometimes plan meals around coupons...but am more likely to search out coupons for what I want to buy.  I sometimes find that if I have a coupon for something new or something I've been wanting to try or something that's on sale I find a new favorite.  So, I definitely use coupons and try to use them to my best advantage.  My grocery store doubles coupons up to $.99 automatically, and about every other week has coupons in the flyer to double $1.00 coupons.  I definitely take advantage of this along with the actual sales in the flyer.  For example, I like to keep several boxes of Hamburger/Chicken/Tuna Helper in the pantry for when time is tight or I just don't feel like making a big dinner.  Regular price for these products in our grocery store is about $1.75, but they were on sale 10 for $10.  Then I had several coupons for $.75 off 3 boxes, which my grocery store doubled.  Long story short, I got them for $.50 a box.  Now they are there for when I need them and will save me from stopping to pick up take out or going out to dinner.  Depending on what variety I'm making, I either add vegetables right to the skillet or make them on the side and we have a balanced meal in under 20 minutes for the 2 of us, with leftovers for under $3.00 and I only used my skillet.  NOT BAD!!!!!  My tips for coupons...be familiar with your coupons, only take the time to cut the ones you will use, if it's something you will use, get it even if you don't need it right away as long as it won't go bad.
