Hello Fellow Baker's

Hi everyone, a newbie here to this community.  I love the fact that Pillsbury has a section for "meals for two".    Here is a tip for a quick and easy meal:

I use the Pillsbury,a product that family has used for years in their baking, you know... when we didn't have micro waves and  easy to do frozen meals.

So one night I was pushed to come up with something hot, filling  and quick as we were having unexpected company.  No time to go to store, and to much snow to get out anyway.

So took a creative look in the icebox, to find my awesome meal.  Let's see... "there is  roast leftover from night before, some parmesan cheese, oh and some green peppers, mushrooms. and can of Pillsbury crescent rolls.   Checked the vegetable drawn and ah some asparagus and tomatoes.... We cooking now !!!!"

I took the Pillsbury's crescent rolls, and rolled it into squares.  Then I took my beef, green peppers, mushrooms and thank goodness found one onion left, and cut up and placed on top of the little pillsbury crescent rolls, placed another rolled square crescent on top, used a fork to press on the edges to seal it up.  Then I made an egg mixture and brushed on the top, put in the oven and baked it. Keeping a close eye not to burn the tops.

Then I took Parmesan cheese and made a delightful Alfredo cheese sauce to pour over the top just before serving.  Served my little delights with asparagus and a vinaigrette tomatoes side.

The meal was hit . I am also glad that had one old pillsbury standby in the ice box, as it took a blah meal and turned it into something impressive looking and tasty too.
