For this week’s theme, I decided to go with something seasonal again, but on a more “bite-size” scale. In other words, these recipes create smaller servings, yet still express the creativity and autumn flavors you’d expect from an entrée. Here are five ways to impress your friends and relatives before they get to the dinner table.
Turkey is, perhaps, the only food to have its own special holiday. So, in anticipation of Thanksgiving, this blogger created these interesting, little Turkey Squares of Heaven. A family recipe, they feature turkey and mushrooms inside Pillsbury Crescent Rolls.

Similarly, another blogger came up with a recipe for Chicken Squares. Instead of turkey and mushrooms, the squares use chicken, pimiento, chives, and cream cheese, yet still using our Crescent Rolls. In fact, the blogger calls this “a winner” for anyone who loves Crescent Rolls.

When looking to spice up a traditional favorite, you need look no further than Italian cuisine. In a recipe the blogger calls Zullo’s Peach Fiadoni, we find peaches together with a cornstarch mixture inside of round slices of Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust. The blogger received the recipe from a local market vendor who had brought it all the way from Southern Italy!

Moving to a slightly larger scale, we have this lovely Pesto Pizza that uses Pillsbury Think Crust Pizza Dough. Ingredients include tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, baked chicken, cheeses, and of course pesto. From a blogger who claims to be unable to cook, this is a delightful recipe that could be worked into an entrée.

Lastly, we have a recipe from a blog that’s been featured in the community a couple times before. This week, their Pumpkin Pie Swirled Brownie Tart makes the most of seasonal flavors and is fairly simple, too. Using Pillsbury Pie Crust, pumpkin, brownie mix, cinnamon and nutmeg, this could be served for dessert or just to entertain guests.
