Headlines: New Year’s Eve Treats!
Whether or not you’re planning something special for tonight’s New Year’s Eve festivities, these four recipes are a great way to celebrate. You could either serve them as you wait for the ball drop to drop, or as your first meal of 2010—both are guaranteed to be a memorable experience. Happy New Year!
Butter Tarts
For one of four exquisite delicacies presented in a recent post, this blogger shares her secret recipe for Butter Tarts, a popular recipe from Canada. It’s pretty simple too: just mix some butter, dark brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, and half and half and spoon into muffin cup sized pieces of Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then serve and enjoy!

Taco Stuffed Crescent Rolls
Despite all of the incredible recipes this blogger has shared, she describes this one as her husband’s absolute favorite. This super easy recipe consists of ground beef, taco seasoning, cream cheese, salsa, and cheddar cheese inside giant crescent rolls. Be sure to check out her blog post as she offers photographs of nearly the whole cooking process.

Fake-Out Rugelach
If you’ve never heard this word before, Rugelach is a traditional Jewish pastry made with cream cheese dough, walnuts, raisins, apricot preserves and whatever else you fancy. This blogger does her “fake-out” version using Pillsbury Crescent Rolls and an exciting array of spices. Make this for your guests and you’ll have a fun snack and something to talk about!

Bacon-Cheese Tartlets
Here’s another Crescent Roll recipe for all your bacon-loving friends! Cut your Crescent Roll dough into 12 squares, fill with cheese, bacon, onion, salsa, and a milk and egg mixture and bake for 12-15 minutes. Finally, let them cool and you’ll have some small, yet filling snacks. Use extra-spicy salsa to kick it up a notch!
