Pillsbury frozen Whole Wheat Rolls

My family LOVES the Pillsbury frozen whole wheat rolls.  I use to be able to buy them at our local Kroger store. Our WalMart has never kept them in stock. Over the past month I have searched every where for them, cant find them ANYWHERE.

What is the deal?  Is Pillsbury no longer making them?

Hi uniqued: Thank you for your post. You are correct-this product has been discontinued and is no longer available.  While many of consumers did enjoy this product, it wasn’t as successful as Pillsbury had anticipated.
I feel bad if you were caused any inconvenience and hope you continue to enjoy the many other products Pillsbury offers.

Sincerely, CC

Re: Pillsbury frozen Whole Wheat Rolls

I really hope Pillsbury gives the frozen whole wheat dinner rolls another try.

Not only were they delicious, they worker out to be only one, yes one, weight watcher's point!  Which is fantastic for rolls!

I was afraid I would have to give up on having rolls with dinner until I found those little gems in Kroger's freezer section.  Sadly, it appears my dinners with have to go roll-less again.

Maybe Pillsbury could try to stock the whole wheat rolls in more stores to help with sales.  It appears Deb H only found them at Krogers- why not try Walmart or Meijer?  Even Trader Joe's or Whole Foods given that they are whole wheat rolls and may cater to the helthfood crowd.

And lastly, get the weight watchers seal of approval like Progresso did with some of their soups and those dinner rolls will be flying off the shelves!

I do hope you guys will try again- they were sooooo yummy!

Thank you for your time.

The wheat rolls were great, convenient, very tasty as well as healthly. It is very disappointing that Pillsbury has discontinued them, replacing them with less healthly choices. As far as I know Pillsbury has no comparable product another blow to making available more healthly choices.

Re: Pillsbury frozen Whole Wheat Rolls

I and my family VERY much enjoyed Pillsbury Whole Wheat Dinner Rolls, and I'm so disappointed to read that you are no longer making them. They were an excellent addition to healthy eating habits. I have noticed that Pillsbury was the only brand of whole wheat rolls available in our Publix frozen food section.

They will be missed. BRING THEM BACK! Please?

Sincerely,

L

Re: Pillsbury frozen Whole Wheat Rolls

This is the only really healthy roll you offer.  My question to you is what do you offer that is healthy for people trying to offer their families healthy alternatives, especially where children are a concern.

My thought of you is that you possibly should lower your standard slightly when it comes to what you expect to see regarding "the bottom line".  I know many people including family and friends that raved about the taste AND the health value of these frozen whole wheat rolls.  My husband is borderline diabetic and very conscious of eating healthy.  These rolls were perfect for him.

I would appreciate a logical response unless it is that it did not make enough money for Pillsbury.

Respectfully,

Mary Austin

Re: Pillsbury frozen Whole Wheat Rolls

I am so disappointed that Pillsbury discontinued what is one of the only products I still bought from the Pillsbury line.  Trying to find healthy alternatives to dinner rolls was almost impossible and when I found the wheat rolls I was happy to have a healther alternative to white rolls.  It didn't hurt that they were only 1, yes 1 point on the Weight Watcher's program.  It was so nice to be able to eat bread with dinner again and NOT feel as if I was cheating or using so many of my points.  I have literally been all over town looking for these rolls the past week; usually Kroger was the only place I could find them.  After not seeing them for a few weeks I decided to check online and sure enough, you folks are crazy enough to have them discontinued.  Maybe you should work with your advertising team to get the word out about these rolls,  I'll tell you why they didn't do so well.  NO ONE knew about them.  I was probably responsible for most of the sales in my area just by word of mouth alone!  My wieght watcher's leader didn't even know about them!  Let me tell you, if you work with Weight Watcher's to get a commercial out about these rolls (maybe with the little Dough Boy a little less doughy) and tell the WW community that they are only 1 point each and that's with spray butter, I guarantee you will not be able to keep them on the shelves!!  This was a huge PR mistake on Pillsbury's part and you did not have the good sense to take advantage of the WW market.  Giving bread to a bunch of carb starvwed folks guilt free is HEAVEN.  Please try this and bring my rolls BACK!!!!!!!!!  I am considering boycottin all of Pillsbury's products until you do!!!!!!!!!!!!   I am not alone...as witnessed by the posts I have read.

PLEASE!!!

DITTO!!! TO ALL OF YOU.  I AGREE COMPLETELY AND I'M ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED THAT PILLSBURY HAS DISCONTINUED THESE ROLLS.  I GOT ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS HOOKED ON THEM.  THEY WERE JUST ABOUT THE ONLY NUTRITIONALLY DECENT PRODUCT PILLSBURY SELLS AND WERE REALLY DELICIOUS.  MAKES NO SENSE TO ME.  BAD MOVE, PILLSBURY.

That is exactly what I have been doing.  I've looked all over and asked the grocer.  I always had at least 2 bags in my freezer.  I always served them when we had guests.  I am so disappointed.  Please, consider bringing them back.

Re: Pillsbury frozen Whole Wheat Rolls

I too am very disappointed that Pillsbury has discontinued this product.  I finished our last four tonight at dinner.  They are crispy outside, soft and yummy inside.  Please consider re-introducing this product and supporting it with more advertising.  It is only one Weight Watchers point, and perhaps playing up that angle in WW magazine would be good.

Truly, if I would have known that they were going to be discontinued, then I would have bought 20 packages and put them in the freezer.  Please bring them back.
