Re: cookie dough sheets

Hi Grammie0318:

I just talked to Customer Service!

This product has been discontinued. These were discontinued in 2008 & 2009.
I would recommend that you buy the Create n Bake cookie (dough in the tubes) and roll it out and then make cut out cookies that way.

Here are some helpful tips if you use the Create n Bake Cookie:

·       Chill dough thoroughly.

·       Cut dough in half; refrigerate, one half while you work with the other half.

·       Heat oven to 350° F.

·       Generously sprinkle about 1/4 cup flour onto work surface.

·       Remove cookie dough from wrapper; coat sides of dough with flour.

·       Roll out dough to 1/8‑inch thickness using additional flour to prevent sticking.

·       Cut rolled dough into desired shapes, with cookie cutters dipped in flour

·       Leave little space between shapes when cutting them out.

·       Gently remove excess flour from cookies

·       Carefully remove any excess dough from around cookies. Shape this dough into a ball, chill and reroll

·       With pancake turner or spatula, gently lift cut out cookies; place 2 inches apart on cool, ungreased cookie sheets.

·       Leave cookies plain for decorating later or sprinkle with colored decorator sugar or candy sprinkles.

·       Bake at 350° F. for 7 to 9 minutes or until edges are light golden brown

·       Cool completely, then decorate as desired

Sincerely, Catherine

Re: cookie dough sheets

Discontinuing the cookie sheets was a very very bad decision!  This ws the only product of its kind!  We have had to discontinue cookie cut-outs in our school because this product is no longer available.  The dough sheets made cut-outs easy for the kids and less mess for teachers!  Please bring it back.  I also used this product at home with my kids because it is such a time saver around the busy hoildays.  Rethink this decision.  I tried your suggestion and it stinks.  Won't be trying it again.  I will keep looking for you to bring back the dough sheets though.

Re: cookie dough sheets

AMEN to all of the comments above.  But I'm ALMOST POSITIVE they were available in 2010.  I think they were stopped, then started again, but I cannot find them this year.  I do not have time to make cut-outs unless I can find the dough sheets, even using the pre-made dough - the sheets worked great.  PLEASE BRING THEM BACK NEXT YEAR!!!!!!

Re: cookie dough sheets

It is sad that this product was discontinued.

I tried using the dough in the tube and it is awful - regardless of the sugestions for how to use it. It rises too much when baked, the cookies are too soft, they can't be decorated very easily, etc.

The sheet cookie dough for cut-out is the only pillsbury dough I will use, and since it is no longer available I won't be using pillsbury products to make my holiday cookies. That's a shame.

Toll House offers cookie dough sheets, but the shapes are pre-cut and substandard by comparison.

Good luck in your quest for cookie dough. Perhaps the marketing management at Pillsbury should re-examine this bad decision.

Re: cookie dough sheets

This is horrible.

No wonder I cannot find them ANYWHERE.  I have been to numerous stores.  As a busy Mom at the holidays I am appalled they discontinued this product.

I don't want the pre-cut since I charish my own cutters. I guess back to old school and wast time that could have been saved.

Thanks a lot Pillsbury!!!

Re: cookie dough sheets

BRING THEM BACK!!! As a busy wife, mother and grandmother who cherishes her family tradition of Christmas cookie decorating these sheets were a time/sanity saving miracle! How cruel to spoil us with this labor saving item only to arbitrarily discontinue it without warning. Personally I no longer have the time to make and refrigerate the dough needed for the dozens of decorated holiday cookies we give to friends and family. The convenience was well worth the expense! Please reconsider for next Christmas.

Re: cookie dough sheets

I have been looking for the sheets the past two Christmas seasons.  It's a shame that they want bring them back during the Holiday time like from October thru December.  Time is something most people do not have enough of and these really helped in that area while making Christmas cookies with the kids during the Holidays.  That was one of our best times making and decorating cookies.  Last year I tried to make cookies by the box mix and we ended up throwing them away.  I guess we can pack away the cookie cutters again this year.
