Glazed Orange Almond Scones That Are Dense and Heavy

Most of the scones recipes that I've seen (or made) are light and airy. I am looking for a glazed Orange Almond Scone that is dense and heavy, or information on what I can do to a recipe that makes light and airy scones to make then more dense and heavy.

Thanks.

Hi lacenter:
I couldn't find the recipe you were talking about.

We chatted with one of our food experts, Marcia, about your post. Here is what she has to say:

Here are some orange scone recipes from Betty.com. We don’t have one with almonds, but almonds could be added. A basic scone recipe should be something like a biscuit, but they often use cream instead of milk, and often an egg.  I think our scones tend to be pretty close to the traditional texture. Unsure why the scones would be light and airy. You might be interested in comparing one of your recipes to one of these, or trying one.
