Cake mix donut recipe

Does anyone have a donut recipe made from a cake mix and baked not fried? I have searched every where and can't believe I can't find one.  Thanks so much in advance.

Re: Cake mix donut recipe

I found a website with a baked donut recipe. I'm sure you could add a few ingredients like fruit or nuts because the recipe seems pretty basic. http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,184,146*********04,00.html

I hope this helps you. Enjoy!

Re: Cake mix donut recipe

Hmm. you may have more luck at the site the member gave above.

The Pillsbury Baking site (that talks about cake mix recipes) gave three, but they were all by scratch: http://www.pillsburybaking.com/recipes/search.aspx?type=search&find=doughnuts&submit.x=10&submit.y=10&SearchTerm=&SearchType=all&search_type=recipes

We have this baked version: http://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/baked-sugar-doughnuts/b20076e2-e583-4dc5-8fb9-c4a4784cf257/ that uses our biscuits.

Let us know what you end up making!

Sincerely, Cate

BAKED FRENCH DONUTS

1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk

TOPPING:

1/3 c. butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar

Mix all ingredients except topping. Put in greased muffin pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven, roll in butter, sugar and cinnamon.

This recipe does not use a cake mix, but it's reasy and can be done just as easily.
