INGREDIENTS
1lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1/2lb bulk Italian pork sausage
1medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1medium green bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
2cloves garlic, finely chopped
1cup finely chopped carrots
1can (28 oz) Progresso® crushed tomatoes, undrained
1can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1can (6 oz) tomato paste
1tablespoon packed brown sugar
3teaspoons Italian seasoning
1/2teaspoon salt
1/4teaspoon pepper
16oz uncooked spaghetti
Shredded Parmesan cheese, if desired
DIRECTIONS
1.In 12-inch skillet, cook beef and sausage over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until beef is thoroughly cooked and sausage is no longer pink; drain.
2.In 3- to 4-quart slow cooker, mix beef mixture and all remaining ingredients except spaghetti and Parmesan cheese.
3.Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
4.About 20 minutes before serving, cook and drain spaghetti as directed on package. Serve sauce over cooked spaghetti. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
