Because peach season doesn’t last forever, you’ll want to make sure you pick the best ones and treat them right. Choose peaches that are firm yet soft, with a little give when you squeeze them. The skin should be pinkish-orange and covered with a faint fuzz. To ripen peaches, store them at room temperature. Then eat them or store in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.
