This week was the first week my kids went back to school, so having the privilege of sampling Totino’s® Pizza Stuffers in both the Cheese and Pepperoni flavors was perfect timing. I was so excited to have such a convenient snack to serve the kids when they got home. Like most kids, my kids are ravenous when they get out of school, but I don’t want to feed them a huge meal because that interferes with dinner. Totino’s® Pizza Stuffers to the rescue. Since my son is the self-proclaimed “Pizza Expert” he was the one that was going to be the judge on this new snack. Out of everyone in the house, he would be the one I would buy something like this for. I let him open the box and prepare them any way he wanted. They can be baked in the oven or toaster oven for a crispy crust, or in the microwave for a softer crust. He naturally chose the faster method of microwaving them.
They cooked up in less than 2 minutes in the microwave. The hardest part of preparing them was waiting for them to be cool enough to actually eat.
These snacks are a cross between a pizza roll and a calzone. They are the size of an empañada and filling enough to satisfy my 16-year-old son’s hunger until dinnertime. After his first few bites, the verdict was in - Totino’s® Pizza Stuffers got a big thumbs up!
The funny thing is that my son loved them so much that he actually wanted them for breakfast the next morning. Go figure - a 16-year-old wanting pizza for breakfast. LOL!!
I’m a busy mom like every other mom out there so an easy quick snack like this is perfect for my kids’ and my lifestyle. I cook a homemade dinner most nights of the week and pack my kids lunch each day so there are a lot of home cooked meals coming out of my kitchen. With that said, I certainly don’t mind serving a quick and easy snack like this for my hungry kids. It’s the perfect addition to our busy days.
I love the fact that it’s not a messy snack and can be prepared by the kids in minutes. It’s also a snack they actually enjoy. Totino’s® Pizza Stuffers will certainly be a new staple snack in my freezer.
