Girls just want to have fun!

If you don’t feel like a more modern couples shower, keep baby or bridal showers traditional by hosting a girls-only celebration. No matter what kind of shower you throw, it's easy to prepare the food. Pretty appetizers, small bites and desserts hit the spot for all-girl parties.

Try these simple yet glam foods at your next shower:

Three steps to a fun and cool shower:

  1. Give it a theme. For a baby shower, suggest that everyone bring their favorite children's book as part of the gift. A wedding near the holidays? Everyone brings an ornament. A bride who likes to cook? Everyone brings a recipe, and you compile a cookbook during the party.

  2. Give a memorable gift. Take a group photo of the guest of honor with all of the shower guests. Give the frame as the shower gift, and send the photo after the shower.

  3. Play one simple game. Don’t overdo shower games – one good one is perfect. Make it a group game. Try a game of charades, where you act out the bride or mom-to-be's favorite movie, food, etc.
