Thanksgiving Pies, as Easy as it Gets

Refrigerated Pie Crust

Mixables: Pie Ideas from our Fans

We asked for the simplest ever pie recipes, and our Facebook fans came through! Check out all of their amazingly easy ideas.

Who knew pie-baking for Thanksgiving could be so simple?

Between cooking the turkey and making a slew of sides, nobody has the time–or patience–for baking super-complicated, time-intensive pies on Thanksgiving. You're in luck: Our Facebook fans shared a ton of easy ideas.

Just start with a Pillsbury pie crust, then add:

  • Vanilla or banana pudding with 2 cut-up bananas and whipped topping (in a baked pie shell)
  • Purchased cheesecake pie filling mixed with a package of instant pudding and whipped topping (in a baked pie shell)
  • Frozen apple pie filling (so simple, just apples, sugar and cinnamon)—thawed and added to unbaked crust, then baked
  • 2 small packages of instant pudding made with whipping cream instead of milk and put in baked pie shell
  • About ¾ cup hot fudge topping spread over the bottom of a baked pie shell, then topped with berries and whipped cream
  • Chocolate pudding mixed with whipped topping (in a baked pie shell)
  • 1 container whipped topping spread on the bottom of a baked pie shell, topped with 2 sliced bananas and drizzled with caramel sauce
  • Canned pumpkin pie filling, then baked and topped with whipped cream
