• How it works.  Every person who comes brings a dozen cookies for every person.  (OK, that’s a rule, but we need this one.)
  
  
• How many? Realistically, how many cookies do you want?  You don’t need to make this an extravaganza. Can you live with six dozen cookies?  If so, invite just five close friends.
  
  
• Go out.  Drop the cleaning supplies! You don’t have to host the swap at home. Start with dinner reservations and swap after the meal.
  
  
• Evite.  Get the word out a couple weeks before the swap day.  Focus on easy, simple cookies, and let everyone know ahead of time. You may even want to pass on this link for super-easy 3-ingredient cookies!
  
  
• Bake it.  Be smart and bake easy! You can easily whip up enough cookies in a couple hours. Want something even faster? Bake bars instead!
  
  
• Pack ‘em.  Pick up six disposable plastic containers. Pack the cookies a dozen per container. (Remember to keep a container for yourself.)
  
  
• Enjoy. Now that the cookies are made, it’s time to relax and have fun with friends and family!
  
  
• Freeze.  If it’s more than a few days from your first holiday entertaining date, seal cookies in a container and freeze. If cookies are decorated or frosted, it’s a good idea to separate layers of cookies with wax paper or parchment.
  
  
• Super Smart Twist: Make it a cookie exchange/present wrap combined! After swapping cookies, create an assembly line and get all your holiday work finished in one night!
