Exercise doesn’t have to be a chore for you or your kids. Try these fun family activities to keep your family moving! 

 

Birthday bash: Instead of a movie night, plan a party that keeps the kids active: Backyard Olympics, bowling, relay races, soccer, mini-golf and even interactive electronic fitness games are kid favorites.

 

Easy home gym: You don’t need expensive equipment – just canned foods as weights, a jump rope and stairs for climbing. Get creative with what you already have at home.

 

Every day: Try finding time every day to be active. That could be playing catch, walking the dog or even jumping in the leaves!

 

Track your progress: Keep track of activity time on a calendar, and turn it into a fun contest. Give each person in your family a different color or symbol and see who logs the most activity.
