We’re huge fans of hazelnut-cocoa spread in our house. And that’s putting it mildly. We love to incorporate it into everything we possibly can. Breakfast is no exception.
We decided that a hazelnut-cocoa monkey bread would be fantastic...and it is! We typically have Pillsbury® Crescent rolls in our fridge, and they make a wonderful base for the monkey bread. Normally, we’d make one giant monkey bread, but we thought mini monkey breads would be so much fun.
Get the kids involved by letting them cut the dough into pieces. I have the kids use a pastry scraper, which has a ruler on the end. It’s easy for the to see where to cut and is much safer than a knife.
If you want to dress up these mini monkey breads even further, decorate them with crushed hazelnuts or even sprinkles!
