If there is one way to get kids to enjoy their meal, it’s by involving them in making it. Get your kids into the kitchen with these easy Ham and Cheese Pizza Pockets.

Here’s what you need: a can of biscuits, some pizza (or pasta) sauce, chopped broccoli, ham, shredded cheese and an egg. When you buy your ingredients, try cutting a few calories by picking the reduced-fat biscuits and 2% cheese.

Start by beating an egg with a fork and set aside. (By lightly brushing the egg over the pizza pockets before baking, the tops will become golden brown and shiny.)

Next, have the kids flatten each biscuit into a 5-inch circle with their fingers.

Now, fold the other half of each biscuit over the filling and seal the edges. Allow the kids to crimp the edges with a fork.

Place all the pizza pockets on a baking sheet, and then lightly brush some egg wash over the tops.
