Want to know the secret to caramel apples? A quick dunk in boiling water! Yep, that waxy coating on apples makes the caramel slide off. By dunking the apples into boiling water for 30 seconds or so, and you remove the wax. Now the gooey caramel will stick to the apples, not the baking sheet.

To start, gather all your ingredients together.

After that, making caramel apples is super easy. Don't even think about making caramel; we just melt caramel candies with a little milk. Tastes fab and takes about 5 minutes.

 

Once the caramel is melted, let it stand for about a minute. (That’s another trick to make sure the caramel sticks to the apples.)

Then, swirl the apples around in the caramel and allow any excess to drip back into the pan.

Now, it’s up to you. Eat 'em just like this. Or roll them in nuts, chocolate chips or even mini marshmallows. Yum!
