Pumpkin pie is something you buy from the bakery (or maybe your grocer’s freezer), right? It’s something you serve on Thanksgiving, a dessert just for fall. Right?
It doesn’t have to be that way, especially if you and your kids are head over heels for pumpkin pie like my kids and I are. Pumpkin pie can be an any time of year thing.
Armed with an easy recipe and an out-of-the-box idea, you can have a delicious pumpkin pie-inspired dessert in minutes. There’s no baking necessary, and the kids will love it (especially the pie crust dippers).
How? You start with pumpkin pie mix and stir in cinnamon-sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Then serve the pudding-like mixture with super easy, two-ingredient “crackers” made from pie crust and cinnamon-sugar.
Top it all off with whipped cream and grab a spoon. You can thank me later!

One serving note: You can see these “shooters” are in cups. That’s because I think custard cups are easier to work with and are simpler for little hands to eat from.
