A Cornish hen, roasted to perfection with an apple-scented glaze, is fancy enough for a special occasion, but easy enough for a simple dinner for two.

When it's only the two of you, make it extra special

Small in numbers, big in holiday spirit!

Enjoy a cozy holiday at home, and make it extra special with these recipes and tips for two:

  • Serve the meal in courses. End with a light dessert served with just-brewed coffee.

  • Quick pick up. Don’t miss the opportunity to have a few friends over during the holidays just because the house isn’t in perfect order. Grab a laundry basket and do a quick sweep of the dining room and living room, then go enjoy the season and your friends!

  • Home, sweet home. Pause during the hectic pace of the season to enjoy a peaceful meal at your own table. Even a rotisserie chicken purchased on the way home from work sparks the holiday spirit when served on your good china.

  • A little latte. Linger after dinner during the holiday season with a special cup of coffee. To make a quick latte, heat milk over the stove until steaming (not boiling). Use a wire whisk to froth the hot milk until tiny bubbles form, then add it to a cup filled half-way with strong freshly-brewed coffee. Add coffee syrup flavoring if desired.
