Bake-Off Contest History Highlights: Appetizers
As we continue to vote for the latest YBTJ round, we wanted to highlight two past Bake-Off Contest Recipes. This week we wanted to take a closer look at the creators behind the Spicy Orange-Chicken Charmers and Cheesy Chicken and Artichoke Bites.
Paula Naumann, finalist in Bake-Off® 43 from Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, considers herself an experimenter who’s comfortable in the kitchen. She loves to cook, and makes meals for her large family in a few minutes or several hours, depending on her mood. Paula says her appetizer recipe, Spicy Orange-Chicken Charmers, is a winner because it has broad appeal, with flavors reminiscent of Chinese orange chicken.
Noelle Kompa hails from Forest, Virginia, and was a finalist in Bake-Off® 43. An enthusiastic cook who loves to try new recipes, she started cooking around age 10 with her mother. Noelle developed her Cheesy Chicken and Artichoke Bites around an artichoke dip recipe, and says her recipe is a winner because it works for both casual or classy occasions, it’s easy, and it’s tasty!
