EASY, FAST, AND FATTENING TREAT FOR THE KIDS

This was always a comfort food for the kids and I on a rainy afternoon, and the cupboard was a little bare.

GRAHAM CRACKERS AND VANILLA FROSTING

  • 1 box or 3&1/2 cups confectioners sugar

  • 3/4 stick butter at room temperature

  • 1-1&1/2 tsp. vanilla

  • several tablsp. milk

  • a dash of salt

  • 1 box graham crackers

Mix butter, sugar, and salt well.  Add vanilla and mix.  Add milk a tablespoon at a time, beating well by hand till you have the thick consistency of frosting.  Spread a thin layer of frosting on a cracker and top with another cracker.  Repeat using hopefully all the frosting and crackers.   My kids loved to make it, then put the cracker-sandwiches together, and we made memories at the same time. Hugs, ldbayou

Welcome, Loulie 12.  It is great to  have a 10 year old here. Yes I haven't tried the rocky road pizza yet, but now I think I will.  Thank you for the recommendation.  Did you get the recipe from the Pillsbury site here?  Are you going to make any treats for Halloween?  Let us know what things you cook. Pizza Hugs to all, ldbayou
