Re: Do you have this recipe?
This could be the one. I have a friend who used to make this all the time for us.
Cream Cheese Coffee Cake
2 pkgs. crescent rolls
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg yolk (save white for the top)
1 tsp. vanilla
Topping:
1 T. to 1/4 c. sugar (your choice)
1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Lay 1 package of crescent rolls in 9x13 ungreased pan; pat down seams. Combine cream cheese, sugar, yolk and vanilla and spread filing on rolls. Top with last package of rolls, spread flat. (Helpful hint--my friend pats or rolls dough between waxed paper so it is easier to put on top of cream cheese mixture.)
Brush top with saved egg white; sprinkle with sugar (1 T. to 1/4 c. to your liking ) and cinnamon and pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. My friend also drizzles a little powdered sugar frosting over the top.
