We always have lefse a Norwegian flat bread we make out of mashed potatoes that rest over night and then rolled thin and cooked on a special lefse baker/pan. The children butter the bread and sprinkle sugar over the butter then roll it up and enjoy. The adults fill it with lutefisk a cooked fish or with turkey and potatoes. We have family and neighbors in for lunch /dinner . Sometimes 15 sometimes 40, lots of food and a wonderful time to be thankful. We are looking forward to our usual "week-end" visiting ,cooking and eating.

What a lovely tradition marie1102! Thank you for sharing!

Last year we had a big family gathering and when guests arrived we had them write something that they were grateful for and put in a bowl. Before we ate, everyone picked a piece of paper out at random and read the grateful note. We had to guess who wrote it. It was really fun and I hope we do it again this year! Sincerely, Cate
