My favorite part is breakfast on the morning of. My Mom always made it special for us. We always had Pie for breakfast!

My favorite part is seeing my family's faces when they taste all the different dishes. It makes me feel like I'm giving each one a huge hug. I have to make a pan of green bean casserole just for my hubby if anyone else wants to get any. I make it a special way that he can't resist.

The turkey & gravy is wonderful!  But, it is great to see the FAMILY, of course! And sharing the dish that someone made and brought to make Thanksgiving special.

I love the dressing with lots of cranberry sauce.  Here in the south the dressing is so different from stuffing.

I do like the dressing best.  However, one of my favorite things is the leftover feast on Friday!

I like homemade cake and cookies.

Our extended family enjoys a heritage Orange Cranberry Relish that has been a part of Thanksgiving since the later part of the 19th century.  It is not unique; just a family tradition that will be shared from Appalachia to Puget Sound and from Lake Superior to Houston on this occasion.

Thanks," kf," couldn't agree more.  Forget dinners, I'd rather have the leftovers.  How about hot turkey sandwich, stuffinhg  all covered in gravy.

Why isn't there a choice for just TURKEY!!

Family and sometimes very close friends getting together- Sharing, Being Thankful for what we have, and Truly Enjoying the company of Each Other... We have a tradition in our family that everyone helps with the dinner and brings something so it doesn't put all the work on the host! It works out well because we all have our specialties. If I could I would have it at my home every year, because of the memories... Things that our children, nieces, nephews and all of their children will remember over the years. We're a close family and we look forward to the holidays it's just another reason to have a big get-together! Happy Thanksgiving TV

Kate, I agree with all you said on "What’s your favorite part of the feast".  Our favorite GUEST part is made extra special when our guests include young Marine families and single Marines that that are too far away to go home for Thanksgiving dinner.

I also do not like stuffing, but love my grandma's dressing smothered in gravy! But most of all we need to be thankful for everything we have, and enjoy our loved ones, not just the holiday food.

The best part of Thanksgiving for me is having my whole family together to give thanks for all we've received all through the year and enjoy the meal we are about to receive whether it's turkey & all the trimmings or just a simple meal !
