The rules for the Pillsbury Bake Off says that the finalists will be notified on or about Sept 1st, 2009.

I submitted a couple of recipes and would like to know if I made it, and I know that many others are also interested,  can you give us some clarification

on when the notification will actually be.

I was wondering, too.  In the website area where everybody can vote for one of the two finalist recipes posted, it says that recipes to vote on will continue to be posted through September 17 and then all of the finalists, including the ones that were voted on, will be posted at bakeoff.com in October 2009.  But, you are right.  The rules say finalists will be notified on or about September 1.  Maybe the rules just changed a little. 

I don't remember the finalists being posted last year.  I wonder how they were notified and will it be the same this year.

I'm anxious!  It's exciting!

I enjoyed submitting various recipes to the Bake Off.  When and how will the 100 finalists be notified?  Will the winners be notified by email?  I am eagerly awaiting the final decisions!

Just heard back from the Bake-Off Team:

“We did start notifying potential finalists recently for the Bake-Off Contest.  The 100 recipes competing for $1 million at the contest finals will be announced on or about October 21, 2009 on www.bakeoff.com.”

Can you please ask the Bake-Off team how they notify finalists?  Is it by email or phone or some other way?  Do they leave a message if you are not home?  How long does the process take...when do we give up hoping that maybe we will be notified?

1. what is the timeline for them to contact people?  If we have not heard anything by now

does that mean we need to start cooking for the next contest?

2. How will we be contacted?  Email - or phone or snail mail or any or all of the above.

I, like everyone else, am wondering if all the finalists have been notified. They had stated must be able to be reached at the contact information left. My concern is that I work nights and might miss a phone call. Will they leave a message and if they can't talk to you personally will they go on to an alternate? I would appreciate any input. We apologize for your frustration and the delay in our second response.  
The Bake-Off team has responded:

“We have started notifying potential finalists.  We are doing this by telephone and email.  We will announce the finalists in mid-October.  Until then, anyone could still be a finalist.”
 
We (Erin and I) are excited for that mid-Oct announcement! We look forward to talk about the results in the community when the finalists are posted!
