I am a first time "poster". I am looking for this great recipe for an Apple Crostatda.I picked it up last year on the intenet and it was so simple and easy. Some of the ingredients were a refrigerated pie crust, cinnamon, 3 apples (I think) walnuts, sugar, lemon zest. All you did was mix together basically and put on 1 pie crust and fold up edges and bake. If anyone has the recipe, please send it in. Thanks.

Hi! I made this in a cooking class I taught and it was a great dessert. It's easy and sooo good.:-) God Bless you in your new pastorate.

Apple Bistro Tart!

1/2 pkg. of rolled refrigerated Pillsbury Crust (the box contains 2, so you use only 1. :-) )

1 T sugar

1tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp/Lemon zest

2 med. Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored and sliced thin

1/2 c Caramel Apple Dip

1/2 c chopped nuts of choice

1/4 c apple jelly

powdered sugar opt.

Heat oven to 425F. Combine sugar, cinnamon and lemon zest. Toss with apples. Place pie crust on baking sheet or pizza pan and spread with caramel dip to within 2-inches of edges. Place apples on top and sprinkle with nuts.(I arrange the apples starting at the edge, aroung the circle and go inward) Now flip the crust edges inward, so you slightly overlap the apples. Making pleats/folds as you go aroung the tart. Bake until golden and apples are tender. About 20 minutes.

Heat apple jelly in the microwave to syrupy consistency. Brush it all over the apples including the crust. Serve warm sprinkled with powdered sugar. Vanilla ice cream would guild The Lilly.
