Re: healthy recipes
I am also interested in healthy recipes. There is an epidemic of obesity in the U.S. now. And people are feeding their children way too much junk/over processed foods.
My husband and I love pizza but are tired of ordering greasy pizza from the local take-out places so I came here and am happy to see Pillsbury makes a whole-wheat pizza crust.
I think it would cut the fat and calories to make a pizza at home using the Pillsbury whole wheat pizza crust and sprinkle some garlic powder and a little sprinkle parmesian on the crust. Add pizza sauce, skim shredded cheese, onion, red sweet bell pepper and brown & drain a little fresh ground sirloin or you could top it with turkey bacon(which is low in fat since it's turkey). You could even add a little fresh wilted down spinach also. Or some Panchetta on it would be good too in place of the fatty pepperoni.
Making your own home-made pizza using Pillsbury whole wheat pizza dough would cut the fat and calories and make you feel better about eating one of your favorite foods.
