Headlines: Star Wars Cinnamon Rolls, Spicy Mexican Treats, Pizza & more!

This week, we find 3 different uses for refrigerated pie crust dough, 2 exciting and “out of this world” cinnamon bun recipes, and one authentic Italian pizza that’s amazingly easy to make. This week also has some of the best photographers I’ve seen in a while. So, whether you have kids heading back to school, guests to entertain, or just the urge to create, this week’s Headlines are guaranteed crowd-pleasers!

Ever find yourself dragging on Monday morning? If so, then this blogger’s “Happy Monday Recipe” for Spicy Mexican Quiche Cups might jump start your week. Using Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crusts, Old El Paso Thick ‘n Chunk Salsa, a half cup of jalapenos, and a whole lot of love, you can recreate this delightfully spicy snack that she decided to pair with a movie.

Cherry Pie might sound simple, but this blogger lays out some pretty specific instructions, such as hand-pitting the cherries. She also notes that Pillsbury’s refrigerated rolled pie dough is the one that “comes the closest to tasting like my Nana’s”. As a personal touch, she suggests throwing in a little almond extract.

Another use of the ever-versatile pie crust is found in these Mini Fruit Tarts, which is a recipe you might’ve seen before right here on Pillsbury.com. This snack features raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, a strawberry glaze, and one beautiful photo.

This two-part Tomato & Basil Pizza recipe includes “easy” instructions for Homemade Pizza Sauce. Pillsbury pizza crust serves as the canvas for roma tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, red onions and fresh basil. Honestly, if you’ve never made your own pizza before, this a great place to start!

I bet you’ve never heard of Pillsbury’s Princess Leia Danish Dos! Neither had we, but this blogger took a hint from a Star Wars Cookbook, added Pillsbury Croissant Sheets into the mix, and wound up with some delicious-looking Cinnamon Buns. Also included are some alternative Gluten-Free instructions for those interested…

Another adventurous take on Cinnamon Buns is a recipe that’ll have you packing! This blogger managed to cook some in her new Fry-Bake pans, which she used as an oven using a butane one-burner stove to heat the bottom and a miniature campfire to heat the top. Sound strange and confusing? She explains it very clearly with lots of pictures. In the end, the Cinnamon Rolls came out “beautiful” and “delicious”.
