New Recipe Contest: You Can Win $1,000!

We have another exciting contest we want to tell you about!

If you're forte is fall baking or holiday feasts - or anything in between - we'd like to sweeten the season with over $6,000 in prizes in our NEW Celebrate the Season Recipe Contest!

That's right...three categories, three $1,000.00 cash Grand Prizes! Plus we're awarding $500.00 and $250.00 for second and third places in each category, and a Betty Crocker or Pillsbury cookbook to all finalists.
Enter one category or enter them all, but you can't win if you don't submit your recipe in these categories:
Fall Favorites
Best Thanksgiving
Holiday Baking

In addition to winning cash prizes, or cookbooks, you'll also see your name and recipe in print in an upcoming Betty Crocker® or Pillsbury® Recipe Magazine. Got a winner? Enter your recipe today!

Sounds great!   I read the rules ... but nowhere could I find that one must/should use Pillsbury or Betty Crocker products.   Is this not necessary?

Re: New Recipe Contest: You Can Win $1,000!

Just talked to the team about this. This was their response:

In this particular contest we are not requiring the use of BC or PB products mainly because it’s not a branded recipe contest so we wanted to keep it as open as possible. However, with that said when they submit a recipe we retain the rights to substitute products, so if they were to call for green beans, we would more than likely call for Green Giant green beans.

Hope this helps!

Sincerely, Cate
