Headlines: Top 4 Recipes for Pizza Friday!
Once again, it’s Pizza Friday and that means we’re spotlighting some of the best recipes out there that use Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust! Sometimes, the best way to kick off the weekend is to throw a pizza in the oven, throw on a movie, and relax. And remember: just because it uses Pillsbury pizza dough doesn’t mean it has to be a true pizza!
BBQ Chicken Pizza
Compared to some of the other recipes we have this week, BBQ Chicken Pizza might actually sound somewhat traditional. What always seems to vary with this recipe is what vegetables are included in the mix; this one goes with julienne carrots and green onions. Use whatever kind of BBQ sauce and chicken you prefer, plus some mozzarella cheese and don’t forget the Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust!

Meatball Calzones
This continues the endless debate of whether calzones are technically considered a type of pizza or not. However, given the ingredients on this recipe, I doubt anyone will be too worried about it! This recipe presents an easy way to make your own meatballs and then gives easy-to-understand instructions on how to make your very own calzone. Oh, the possibilities of our pizza dough!

Fajita Pizza
This Mexican-Italian mash-up is a guaranteed crowd pleaser! As the blogger says, “If you have never had a fajita pizza you are missing out.” Pan-fried chicken, peppers, onions, salsa, and Monterey Jack cheese with a little olive oil, garlic, and chili powder are a winning combination. Serve all that up on Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust and you’ll be in Pizza Heaven!

Sweet Potato Pizza
I wasn’t sure if I would be able to squeeze some warm autumn cuisine into this week’s Headlines, but then I found this delightful recipe for Sweet Potato Pie. On the other hand, this is the one that uses our Pillsbury Crescent Recipe Creations instead of Classic Pizza Crust. Using this blogger’s recipe for Classic Oven-Roasted Sweet Potatoes, plus some brie cheese, dried cherries, and REAL maple syrup, you’ll have a pizza fit for Thanksgiving Day!

Do you know of any other ways to incorporate the taste of Fall into a pizza? Or, perhaps you’ve heard of some great new use of our Classic Pizza Crust that’s not even really a pizza at all. Either way, we want to hear about it!
