Cinnamon, Cinnamon Rolls, and Pumpkin Spiced Delights. Here’s This Week’s Headlines
Cinnamon Rolls have been hot in the blogosphere this week with a lot of creative minds finding new ways to spice up an old favorite. We even found a couple that don’t use actual Cinnamon Rolls, yet still feature Pillsbury products blended with cinnamon, spice, and all sorts of other autumnal deliciousness. Here are our favorite cinnamon selections of the week.
If you’re not already aware, Pillsbury makes outstanding Cinnamon Rolls that use the Cinnabon filling and they are exquisite. Yet, this blogger has two recipes that take them to the next level. First, the Bananas Foster Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls feature 3 to 4 sliced bananas, chopped pecans, some cinnamon and sugar, and even a tablespoon of dark rum. Next, we have Apple Pie Pockets with Pillsbury Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Crust. The ingredients of this one are pretty clear from the name, but the trick is to knead the cinnamon rolls all together into 4 flat oval shapes, then bake the ingredients inside. Both are quick and easy and will warm you up as the weather cools off.

Next, we have our Cinnamon Rolls used for a Coffee Cake! For this, you’ll need to cut the Rolls into quarters, and then place each piece in a sugar/cinnamon mixture, followed by baking and, of course, the icing. This is another quick and easy recipe that could make a fun party snack.

Have you ever made Monkey Bread before? If so, did you use Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls? This recipe has an exciting array of ingredients, such as applesauce, maple sugar, caramel, and more. This is another one where you’ll want to cut each Roll in quarters and will definitely be worth the extra work!

The photos of these Pumpkin Spiced Cream Cheese Breakfast Rolls should be enough to win you over without having read the recipe. However, were you to read the recipe, you’d discover this is the one that doesn’t use Cinnamon Rolls! Instead, this blogger takes our Crescent Rolls, forms them into one big long rectangle, and then covers it with a mixture of pumpkin, cream cheese, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Then you roll it all up, cut it into one inch squares and bake for about a half hour. Another delicious recipe from the Picky Palate.
