Re: Pillsbury frozen Whole Wheat Rolls

I totally agree, since they were only 1 point I could use them for breakfast sandwich's as well as a roll with dinner.  I hope Pillsbury reads these comments.

Re: Pillsbury frozen Whole Wheat Rolls

Iwould like to echo what everyone else is saying.  I have tried to find these in the stores that last two weeks (I had used up the supply I kept in the freezer) and only just found out today that they have been discntinued.  The only frozen bread product you have available is not an option that I will purchase due to their high calorie content.  The whole wheat rolls were a healthy option that tasted good  - it is a shame that you made this decision.  I am not sure why no attempt was made to market these rolls.  As many others have pointed out, it would have been a natural fit to have become a Weight Watchers endorsed product since they were only 1 WW point.  Finding a roll for only 1 pt has now become an impossible task.  With the obesity problem in this country in adults and children, I would think companies would be looking for ways to help people with their weight issues.  The diet industry is a huge market that obviously you did not attempt to tap.  Count me out as a Pillsbury customer.

Re: Pillsbury frozen Whole Wheat Rolls

We, too, loved the frozen Pillsbury Whole Wheat Dinner Rolls and are extremely disappointed in Pillsbury for discontinuing them. They were the only rolls we purchased ... and the dinner rolls in a tube are not an acceptable substitute (too many and they're not the delicious wheat). In fact, the wheat dinner rolls in a bag were often sold out in our local grocery store. And we don't like biscuits with our meals, either. Its wheat dinner rolls or nothing -- and it looks like it will be nothing from now on.

If these rolls weren't profitable enough for Pillsbury then I think your advertising strategy must be at fault. The flavor alone should have netted you a huge customer base, if you could just get people to try them. And the convenience of making as few or as many as you like left no wasted food (or money). As others have suggested, why didn't you promote them as a Weight Watchers 1-point wonder that's good enough for everyone to love?

From now on, you can count us out as Pillsbury customers!

Re: Pillsbury frozen Whole Wheat Rolls

I loved the rolls as well and have been searching for a replacement and I think I found it.

http://www.alexiafoods.com/ check out this site. I found the whole wheat rolls at Kroger and they are very much like Pillsburys were. Only 90 calories.

I hope everyone will try them and maybe they will continue to have them in stock. I found them in the section where they keep the special health foods.

Good Luck.

I loved all of the frozen dinner rolls!!!!!!!!!! and now I cannot find any of them.  Have all of the frozen rolls been discontinued?  If so, that is very, very sad..........

I have been looking all over for the Pillsbury frozen whole wheat rolls and didn't know they had been discontinued!  My family loved them and I bought them all the time!  What a bummer.....

I too am very disappointed that Pillsbury has discontinued this product.  I finished our last four tonight at dinner.  They are crispy outside, soft and yummy inside.  Please consider re-introducing this product and supporting it with more advertising.  It is only one Weight Watchers point, and perhaps playing up that angle in WW magazine would be good.

Truly, if I would have known that they were going to be discontinued, then I would have bought 20 packages and put them in the freezer.  Please bring them back.

Re: Pillsbury frozen Whole Wheat Rolls

I have been trying to find these rolls in various stores in my area (northern NH), and am disappointed to learn that they have been discontinued. I agree with previous suggestions about Pillsbury needing to do a better job marketing the product.

Perhaps Pillsbury could do what Thomas' does with the discontinued cranberry English Muffins - bring them out for a limited time each year - these muffins are on the shelves in mid Nov - Dec. And that's when I stock up!

Does anyone know of a store in this northern area (Shaw's and Hannover do not) that sells a similar product? as someone had written about Kroger's (which is not in this area)?

DITTO!!! TO ALL OF YOU.  I AGREE COMPLETELY AND I'M ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED THAT PILLSBURY HAS DISCONTINUED THESE ROLLS.  I GOT ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS HOOKED ON THEM.  THEY WERE JUST ABOUT THE ONLY NUTRITIONALLY DECENT PRODUCT PILLSBURY SELLS AND WERE REALLY DELICIOUS.  MAKES NO SENSE TO ME.  BAD MOVE, PILLSBURY.

Jmkra is right. Find an alternative company that makes whole wheat rolls. Alexia Foods is a good choice, though the good people at Pillsbury have made it so that if you click on the link above it just takes you to another Pillsbury page. Pillsbury doesn't care about your health and well being. Find a company that does, and give your money to them instead.
