Sausage Balls

The other day, I had these sausage balls - I have no idea how to make these. They are so good. I know that it was made with regular raw sausage and butter flavored biscuits. What I don't know is how to make them. I have looked all over for the recipe. If you have this recipe, please share it with me. I really would like to make them for my husband and kids.

Thanks for all of your help!!

Re: Sausage Balls

hey snoozer i think this is what you're looking for:

1-2-3 SAUSAGE BALLS

1 lb. hot sausage
2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
3 c. Bisquick (biscuit mix)

Allow cheese to come to room temperature. Combine all ingredients (easier done by hand). Shape into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Serve immediately or may be frozen for future use.

Makes 40-50 balls.

These are my favorite thing to snack on during the holidays.

Re: Sausage Balls

I once saw a recipe for sausage ball on the back of a package of Jimmy Dean or Owens pan sausage. I would look there. I have also seen it on a box of bisquick. They're yummy. I forgot about those until I read your message.Stick out tongue

the recipie is always on the back of the regular jimmy dean sausage rolls, but here it is, every one who eats sausage loves them. and asks for them every holiday or game night.

Jimmy Dean Sage Sausage Cheese Ball

  2. 1-1/2 cups all-purpose baking mix

  3. 16 oz. (4 cups) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

  4. 1/2 cup finely chopped sweet red pepper

  5. 1/2 cup finely chopped onion

  6. 2 teaspoons minced garlic

  7. 1 teaspoon black pepper

Note: may be prepared ahead and frozen uncooked. To bake from frozen: thaw on baking sheet 15 minutes; bake in preheated oven 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Variation: for firmer texture, add 3 cups baking mix and 2 cups shredded cheese to the ingredients listed above.

Re: Sausage Balls

They are made with Biscuit mix, sausage and cheddar cheese.  You could get the receipe from Biscuit box or their web site.  This receipe has been around since I know the 70's.  Good eating they are good.
